Presentation

PMatrix™ is the core of Stantum’s multi-touch technology, it runs as a chip firmware or software on controllers or any embedded processing devices. PMatrix™ scans and delivers an exact representation of what’s happening on the touch-panel, enabling operating systems and applications to be controlled on the device by fingers, stylus, nails, or any contact object.

 

Embedded processing

Unlike most multi-touch controllers, PMatrix™ is designed from the bottom for embedded devices (like the award-winning Lemur), thus avoiding using power consuming host drivers or DSPs. PMatrix™ brings the best of multi-touch to your device without tradeoffs.

How PMatrix™ works

It watches each grid intersection of the touch-panel's matrix and reports any change of electrical characteristics. Thus, the controller delivers an exact image of what’s happening on the touch screen surface in the most reliable way, namely with a matchless acquisition frame rate offering extremely fast response.
